Berlin-based Mexican producer @fedde00 caught our ears a few months back with his stunning ‘Supermoon’ EP on CVMR – a sublime mix of house, breakbeats, techno and trancey melody that found favour with the likes of Boiler Room. We got straight in touch to snare some material from this burgeoning talent, and he delivered two stunning tracks to us.
‘What You Do To Me’ is a graceful slice of deep, melodic house music driven by an undulating bassline and tribal-tinged rhythms, whose slowly filtering vocal snippets and beautiful piano melody create a melancholic atmosphere. Building slowly, it peaks with a spine-tingling synth melody that once again shows Fedde’s deft way with a tune.
‘B&D’ is a collaboration with Departures Records boss MB22, and provides a stark contrast. A hugely infectious slab of ‘80s synth-pop meets modern electro, it’s overflowing with melody and colour – from the rubbery bassline to the glistening chords and P-funk squeals, with a chunky kick pattern hammering away underneath. Thoroughly road tested, it’s received amazing reactions everywhere it has been dropped, with numerous ID requests showing that these two have crafted something truly memorable.
